This section of the Scouting family enjoy fun and friendship as they take part in new opportunities on their scouting adventure.
Most Beaver Scout Colonies meet for 1-1½ hours, term time only, and are divided into small teams called Lodges.
They work towards badges, play games, do activities, crafts, learn new skills such as to work as part of a team and develop skills for life. They will also have the chance to take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers – for many it may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it’s a real adventure for them! They also go on hikes; visit new places; meet new people; help their local community and start to learn that good teamwork is sometimes harder than it seems.
Once old enough Beaver Scouts are able to move up to Cub Scouts.
